Zug-based Private Markets firm Partners Group announces the appointment of a new chief financial officer. He also joins the executive team.

Partners Group appointment of Joris Groeflin as a partner and chief financial officer (CFO) who also becomes a member of the Executive Team, effective 1 February 2024 at the latest. He takes over the firm’s finance activities from Manuel Ottinger and Philip Sauer, who co-led the function on an interim basis after Hans Ploos van Amstel stepped down as CFO to become an advisory partner at the firm

Ottinger and Sauer retain their roles as head of finance and head of Corporate Development, respectively. Groeflin will be based in Zug, Switzerland, according to a statement Friday.

He brings over two decades of experience to the role, having served primarily across a variety of finance functions at Swiss industry groups, most recently as CFO and a member of the Executive Board at Axpo Holding. Before that, he held management roles at Rieter Holding, serving as CFO and as a member of the Group Executive Committee, having worked at Kearney earlier on in his career, according to his Linkedin profile.
