Avaloq said it is shuffling its management in Asia, after its long-standing head in the region leaves the banking software firm for the fintech scene.

The Swiss firm is naming Chris Beukers as its managing director of Asia-Pacific, it said in a statement on Tuesday. Beukers will replace Peter Scott, who has been in the job since early in 2013. Scott is leaving Avaloq, but plans to remain in Singapore and pursue fintech industry opportunities.

Beukers joins from Pactera Technology, where he was general manager of the region. Beukers will report to Juerg Hunziker, who is deputy Chief Executive.

Avaloq CEO Francisco Fernandez recently told finews.asia «There are plenty of activities going on, and the pipeline is full – we will very soon welcome two new Asian private banks to our community.»
