4. The «Prima inter Pares»
At partner-led Mirabaud, Camille Vial took the lead partner role last July – early in her career, Vial missed out on national research funding for her PhD in math. She still got her PhD, and stayed with the Genevan wealth manager founded by her family. Eight years ago, she made partner, taking the place of her father, Thierry Fauchier-Magnan.
She is the first woman to lead the 200-year-old wealth manager, and along with Nicolas Mirabaud, the 41-year-old stands for a dramatic rejuvenation of Mirabaud's top ranks. This year will show how the younger generation plans to kickstart the traditional private bank.
